Well today was a good Thursday, exhausting, but good. I woke up stopped up, stupid allergies, but it cleared out soon after my shower. I enjoyed my fruit bowl for bfast (cantaloupe strawberries, and the end of my black berries). I think I need to buy some more of those little guys but I always buy them, eat over half and then save the rest b/c I’m worried I won’t get anymore, which I know is plum silly, but I just operate that way.
Anyways my neck is still bugging me so I didn’t blow dry my hair and headed off to work w a wet head again. It was a bit cooler today than it has been lately, hopefully I won't get sick like the old wives tale considering I’m headed to Paris for the weekend, yep that’s right more fishing AND it’s a three day weekend for me!!!! R u a bit jealous? You should be!
Well when I got to work I of course checked my email and blogs, and for some strange reason there weren't that many deals in my email box. At the end of the day I didn’t have that many total either. However that left me with plenty of time to look at TS.com for ideas for next Tuesday’s book club potluck dinner. Oh yeah I finished that book this morning. Let’s just say there wasn’t too much meat! I kept wondering if there was ever going to be a point to the story and I don’t think there really was. The worst part about it is that it’s not the author’s first book. She’s got a few more. Doubt I’d pick up another book by her if this was the first one I’d read. Hopefully the others are better, since they are trilogies/series. Regardless I can’t wait to eat good food and hope other people finished it.
Once I clocked in I tried to work more on creating folders for the I-pad, I tell you what there are some silly apps out there. Speaking of apps, guess I should mention the hilariousness I heard on the radio the other day. They were talking about apps that have been created and creating some to put patents on and just talking bout it in general. If I remember correctly there’s a new app that plays like hungry hippos! They went into to talking about other old fashioned games and how some should be created and others left alone. Then if one does get created, how do you make it popular enough to be found in a search engine? Interesting question really. I know there’s monopoly and scrabble but those are two of my most least favorite games. (that’s real English language there, I promise.)
Back to work: in the room my little girl whose dad I think is really strange was there. Her nanny brought her in. Then she handed, not really, more like told me about it, a bag that was on the counter for the child. It was a bag with her lunch and some ‘Easter eggs’ for our Spring Fling/Egg hunt this afternoon. The funny, read stupid, thing was none of the eggs had anything in them! Not only that but they didn’t provide anything to put in them either!!!! When I asked the nanny about it she seemed to have no clue what was going on! I didn’t understand how you can grow up in the area and not know what Easter hunting eggs are about. I had to ask if there was anything to go with the eggs that we could fill or did she just want us to hide them empty. She said she guessed empty b/c the mom didn’t give her anything else, just the bag and said/asked her to take it to school. Luckily enough we had some jelly beans leftover that our floater so kindly filled for us at nap time.
My little guy who’s cried lots since he’s started has had some really good days. The only real tears today were after coming in off the playground and sitting for circle time. I think maybe he just doesn’t like my CT’s voice, but I can’t tell her that, it would be offensive. He also did well at lunch and ate close to half his food and drank all his milkshake!! He also took a good nap and had fun with his PT afterwards.
Well we had our second Spring Fling/Egg hunting party again today. There were 71 eggs to find, but we had plenty of adults help the little ones. Afterwards we went inside and ate cupcakes. Yep I had me one, it was good, funfetti!
After the kids left I got to play with the babies for thirty minutes. Too easy. All I had to do was feed a little guy and watch the chunk exercise is legs and make his chair bounce and cheer for himself. Too cute! Then I went into the big kid’s class, it is Thursday, and that was easy too. I chatted with the LT and the DR while they helped some kids do their art projects. Afterwards I sat in the floor and played with some kids and talked with some parents. I left there at a quarter till four since there was only three kids left and finished working on my DN’s and entering the info into TIEDs and did my contact logs.
Once that was done I cheated a bit and looked at TS for some more ideas for a bit.
When I got off work I headed over to Green Hills mall to go to Charming Charlie’s. I decided I wanted to trade my earrings and bracelets since they had little imperfections. While I was there I picked up this really cute pair of earrings that were in the clearance section for 4.00. Can’t wait to wear em’ out.
I thought that since I went to the mall I would make it home in a decent amount of time, but for some strange reason (probably the rain) there was a bit of a backup a few miles out from my exit and I sat still for a little bit. I also chatted with my dad on the way home. Sometimes he calls and I don’t understand why. However as I’ve gotten older I realized, occasionally unless I’m just in a piss poor mood, that it’s okay just to chat with your folks.
It was seven when I got home so first things first: make dinner. It was an easy one: canned chicken chili I got from Costco. I liked it. It was 4PPs a serving. It was a bit sweet so I added some heat and it was delish. I also picked up the second book in HG’s again. I’m glad to be back into the pages of something interesting. I read for a good thirty minutes or so and then took me a fifteen minute cat nap. It would have been longer but Aaron called and asked me to come get him. His boss, who’ has been letting him borrow a work truck, asked him to leave the truck at the lot incase it was needed since we are going to be gone for a three day weekend. Back at the house he showered and I packed. I went to grab my fishing bra, but couldn’t find it. I’m hoping I left at dads, but I doubt it, b/c I’m pretty sure that I packed everything needed. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Well that bout sums up m day. I’m actually in the car typing this w the screen aimed down and I’m extremely curious as to how many mistakes I made, not counting the word ‘was’ b/c for some strange reason this laptop always adds an extra ‘a’.
Most excited about having a three day weekend of fishing and good times w dad and hubby.
Hope you have a nice Easter weekend…
