Well it’s not quite my bed time just yet, but there are tons of things that I need to do and I wanted to make sure I completed this entry, but I’ll get to that at the end I’m sure!!!
As normal, for bfast I had oatmeal. I tossed in a banana and some coconut flavoring. I left out the sugar thinking it would be sweet enough b/c of banana. It was. However it wasn’t as ‘pina-colada-y’ as I wanted so I (shhhhh) poured in a couple of teaspoons of coconut pineapple run in it. I was going to add the pina colada liquid, but that’s kind of fattening (I think). It was good. However the bananas are really strange. I though maybe it was just b/c they were a bit under-ripe yesterday, but it was still strange today. I wonder how they will be if I wait for more spots to show?
Well even though bfast was quick and easy AND I finished early I stayed in my cozy chair and read some more of my re-visited book. I told myself I wouldn’t read that much/for long while I was in the shower since there were several things I needed to do online. BUT, I had like two bites of oatmeal left and was so intrigued about starting the next chapter, so I did! I really want to hurry up and finish so I can watch the movie (and start the next book, and read other ones).
I arrived to school early like I wanted and did remember to pay for my event on Sat. with the LBDC. I’m curious as to why it cost so much though. The original price is 15.00 plus tax and tip coming to a total of 20.60. Doing the math, that just doesn’t add up. I added nine percent (I think) tax and an eighteen and twenty percent tip and neither totals came to that amount. I hope we get a receipt on Sat.. I also need to complete my ornament.
I also attempted to balance my check book. I didn’t finish, just got the debits and need to do that real soon!
The work room is so strange with all three FSI employees, no therapists computer. Amanda came in and commented on it, about how it bums her out that she’s not in there to chit chat, but tomorrow’s her last day so she’s okay w it. I really hope that she and I keep in touch afterwards. I’m going to try my hardest. After she left I wished my high school bf a Happy B-day. She turned 30 today! She def. doesn’t seem that ‘old’, but neither do I or my hubby!
We had six kids in the room today. My high maintenance kid was out again. Then the little guy on my case that has Autism we sent home sick. His mom said that he had some nasty ones over the weekend, a solid one (BM that is) yesterday, and a couple of semi-runny ones this morning. As she was trying to transition him in he passed gas in my face (so to speak) and it was AWFUL! Mom changed him, but I did notice that it was sorta squirty. So I let her know that if he had another one we’d have to send him home. She was shocked, but I had to explain our policy and the fact that the center has cases of diarrhea and vomiting running through out the building. She said she had an appointment to keep but would be back if we needed her. Well at 9:30 he pooted, at least I thought it was a poot, again. The OT noticed that his pants were wet. WEEELLL, it was water, literally water, from his belly! I’ve never seen straight water in a diaper. I’ve seen liquid BM’s, but this looked like somebody just poured a glass of water in his diaper and it splooshed out of his diaper. So with all that said, he went home. When I prepped lunch I noticed that mom forgot to take his lunch home (she did call much later and realized it as well and asked if we’d leave it in the fridge for Thursday).
At nap time I made sure the ‘wailer’ from the last few days, went to sleep ASAP. I didn’t think I could handle him making that awful noise again. I don’t think I’ve mentioned it, but the last couple of days he’s made me want, no NEED a drink and at one point I thought a really negative thought that I won’t mention here. He did, HOW NICE!!!!!!!!!!!
The rest of the afternoon went nice and smooth. Oh yeah our newest kid, the one on my CT’s case load, transitioned with ease again today: no tears, watched dad leave, and started to play. This same kid really enjoyed our sensory activity today: frozen shaving cream. It’s actually kind of neat and if you have a chance you should try it, especially if you’ve got kids.
After the kids left I completed my TEIDS, the few contact logs I needed to do, and started to work on my assessments. I was fortunate enough to work on them until I left at five. I intermingled paperwork with searching for recipes for Thursday night, which I haven’t talked about at all yet!. Spending two hours and fifteen minutes working on paperwork nonstop, with the few click back and forths is pretty dern exhausting. I completed my second assessment, came close to completing the third one, emailed the first, and talked to the mom of the little girl who wasn’t here today.
I saved several recipes, albeit they are all pretty similar with minute differences, for the potluck on Thursday.
Hubby found out that he doesn’t have to go to
Oklahoma this week!
He did however had to do a last minute job in White House, but made it home around dinner time.
Since I thought he wasn’t going to be home in time I decided to eat leftovers which left him to fin for himself.
Once I got home I let Izzie out, checked the mail, and made her dinner: tuna rice casserole.
Then I washed the dishes, prepped my lunch (Italian meatball WWPs soup and fruits), and then fixed dinner (turkey leftovers).
I finished the yummy bottle of Pinot Noir and started the Malbec.
The Malbec was kind of strange.
It reminds me of something, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
While eating dinner I highlighted all the recipes I’ve got the ingredients (or at least items I can substitute) for. Next up having hubby help me narrow it down (mainly b/c if there’s leftovers I’ll be bringing them home and he will have to help me eat them since he’s going to be home).
I also need to wrap two gifts and start my nails. Oh, and complete the balancing of my check book.
High today: finding lots of soup/crock pot recipes (even though they are similar) as well as knowing/learning that hubby doesn’t have to go out of town.
Hope this is interesting enough to read all the way down….
P.S. wish me luck on finding a box to wrap my gift.
