finally some answers

For those about to read this, whether you are one of the two followers or just happen to freakishly stumble across it I’ll warn you now: tons of downers and lots of crazy rambling will ensue.

I’m not even going to try and remember about my day.  At the current moment I’m trying to figure out if I want more junk food or another glass or two or some shots at the moment.

I had a follow up doctor’s appt w my new GYNO and got some rather interesting news.  I’ve always known there was something wrong w my womanly reproduction system just not sure what it was (considering my body has only produced two natural cycles in my 31 years of life).  In April of last year my previous GYNO told me that everything was essentially fine and if/when we were ready to have children I’d have to start by taking fertility drugs (better known as Clomid).  There was no need to cycle and my hormones were ‘in normal ranges’.

However today the new doc did an internal ultrasound (up side I’ve got several eggs in my ovaries) and discovered the lining of my uterus is thin (which means I don’t need the Provera/Progestrone drug b/c it doesn’t make any sense to shed an ultra thin lining if it doesn’t need it).  She’s also referred me to an endocrinologist (SP?).  To get out the nasty: as it stands right now with what she saw today and the hormone levels from last April, the chance of us conceiving (if/when we decide we are ready for children) is slim to none, i.e. basically impossible.  She started to mention the path that we’d have to go down if/when that was decided, i.e. expensive, detailed, high risk probably, and lots of needles (which I kind of panic at the thought of – a few shots a day every day for a month) and then she stopped.  She said let’s see what the endocrinologist finds first and go from there.

I hope that all makes sense, I tried to be brief.  Now on to how I feel.  I was going to try and hold it in and talk to Aaron first, but he’s not going to be home till 9 or so and I had to pick Sasha up from the IL’s.  I couldn’t not tell his mom and it all came out.  I can’t decide how I really feel.  I’m angry that it took this long for somebody else to give a damn about my health and dig a little deeper into my well being.  I’m also happy that somebody finally cares even though I’m not trying to get pregnant.  I’m utterly sad knowing officially (for the time being) that natural conception isn’t likely.  I’ve always been of the mind set of “I’m-not-sure-I-want-kids,but-if-it-happens-it’ll-be-and-I’m-not-one-to-seek-out-purposeful-conception”.  After lots of talking w MIL I’m still not a hundred percent sure how I feel.  I do truly believe that in order for me to want, no LONG for kids I’ll have to give up my current profession.  (at the moment I get all the awesomeness of children – words, connections, language, abilities, etc).  In turn it’ll suck if I quit, try to have kids, and then fail; not having these kids to fall back on.  My MIL understands how I can enjoy all the greatness and be thankful that I don’t have to deal w all the home problems.  It’ll also brings me back to how hubs and I’ve always joked that ‘subconsciously, deep down inside I haven’t wanted kids for fear that I can’t” – that would be TERRIBLE: to want and long only to discover you can’t (I’m so sorry for those out there in this situation).  I’m having enough trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that now it’s true; natural conception isn’t likely.

Once again, hope that makes sense.  After tears (some muddled and more confusing than the feelings) and a few thoughts: will I now want children since I can’t have them? (isn’t that how life is in general – we always want what we can’t have)  will I be so intent on becoming a parent that now it consumes my life?  Instead of the blog I want to create will I create a whole second one based on that lack of ability or desire?  Will I pick up a distracting, but yet fulfilling hobby that one of my closest friends have done?  Will I wallow and turn into the bitter teenager like person I was at 18?  Will I envy all those around me who have kids?  Will I be angry every time somebody asks that question?  Or will I just accept it and say ‘no’ when asked?  Will all this worry have been for nothing after talking to the endocrinologist and he/she can help balance my hormones?  If they can’t, won’t, or not willing, will I get the guts up to go to an acupuncturist?  So many many questions and thoughts.

When Aaron gets home in an hour I have to tell him.  I’m not sure how it’s going to go and I’m scared.  I wish there was somebody I was close to in the same boat, but then I wouldn’t be an individual would I?

When I got home I picked up the book I got from the goodwill and tried to read it, but my brain was way to busy to absorb it.

Okay, now that I got that out, without tears falling, just welling, I could reflect on my day, but is it important?  Will I feel better?  Do you care?  Should I care?

CCT3 was out sick again.  I worked the early shift.  I got to do her project: a dirt cup w fish instead of worms to represent dinosaurs.  I had to do the DN’s again (she was out yesterday).  Dear Fussy didn’t have to many or large breakdowns.  We were low again, only 12 instead of 15.  I ate tons of junk food: several vanilla wafers, two oreos, about six ‘fish’, some fruit, LO grilled veggies, cheese, crackers, macaroni salad, vino, ice cream, and whoppers.

I like finishing with highs: hubs will be home tonight!

What are you’re thoughts on my randoms?

a date night!

Well we had an absolutely fabulous day!  I of course was up around seven or so and hubs slept in till nine (I woke him).  We started the laundry and got to mowing the yard.  I did the easy part (read riding mower) while he did the hard part (yep, push mower).  Sasha got to hang outside on the lead while we worked and Aaron ran out of gas so she went w him to get more.  I finished b/4 he got back and worked on the dishes.  While he was mowing behind the garage he noticed something interesting and pointed it out: WE’VE GOT TOMATOES!!!!!!  Ages ago I wanted to start a compost bucket and life’s happened so we don’t have one; instead we collect ‘compost’ material in a plastic container and toss it in a pile behind the garage.  Some where along the way nature took over and gave us two plants, that’s right not just one, but TWO!!!  Even more awesome, the large one is flowering!  I’m sure that the tomatoes won’t be all that tasty if we get some, but it’s still really neat that it happened on it’s own.

Okay, back to life – after mowing and dishes and showering and ‘pedi’ we headed to the store.  I looked online and discovered that Kroger had peaches for $1.48 and grapes for $1.28 so we swung by there first.  Next stop was Aldi’s.  I won’t bother listing everything we got, but I love this place more every time we do a large shop there.  I stocked up on produce: onions, zucchini, squash, tomatoes, mini bell peppers, cucumber, avocado,  mushrooms, snow peas, carrots, green grapes, strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries, as well as milk and frozen fruit, AANNDDDD a fold out chair w a canopy for less than $90!!!!!  I get so silly excited to find such awesome deals.

Next we popped into Wal Mart, where Aaron played with the door alarm (something in one of my reusuable bags set it off and he was bound and determined to figure it out) while I picked out bananas and grabbed a plain yogurt to make some more tomorrow (hopefully).  I was torn and angry all at the same time; they got a butt load of peaches in and had to mark them down for quick sale: $.79 a lb!!!!  I tried to rack my brain and decide if I wanted oodles at that awesome price.  However I left them there :’(.

We were done by 1, dropped off and put away the cold stuff and headed to our Dishcrawl date.  LOVED IT!!!!  Kocktails and Koture (the crab cake image was our sample) was pricey, tasty, and ‘fru-fru’ as hubs calls it.  Music City Flats was the best – a beef shoulder in a red wine demi-glace w garlic roasted mashed red potatoes and kale and onion sauté.  Oh I finagled extra drink tickets so I sampled both tastes from K&K and three from MCF.  I loved the spicy pink drink from K&K and the green apple sample at MCF.  Then we stopped at the food truck; it was a fried tater ball w a sweet and spicy sauce – IMO tasty and HOT!!!!! (temp not taste).  The next stop was another food truck; a lemon crepe – IMO not that big a deal, a nice lemon flavor but kinda soggy.  Afterwards I headed to Colt’s and got two dark bolts; LOVE these and so glad they let me get the dark chocolate ones.  Hubs went to get the car and then we drove over to Mirkko; what a let down!!!!!  I had one drink ticket left so I got the chard, which was the wrong co’s.  I’m not a big chard fan anyways and hadn’t tried the one advertised; however the one they gave I have had and was room temperature (read bleh).  Also the pasta was dried and cakey cold.

With the first few being a big hit and the price being decent, can not wait for another one!!!!

Since the pasta wasn’t that great and I had shared most of my meat, potato ball, crepe, and pasta w the hubs I had plenty o’ room to go to dinner w the family.  We went to the Habachi place in Madison and I joined foursquare on hubs cricket.

My high of course was a great day with my wonderful husband!

Are you on foursquare?  What is that all about and how does it work???

new foods!!!!

I know I said I was gonna try and journal more regularly, but having the pup is hard!  Now that the sun is hot and stays out longer we go out later and stay out later.  I’m not getting home till after seven then gotta prep, cook, and clean and FINALLY eat; by the time all that’s done it’s almost time to start bed time routines!

This may sound like an excuse to you, but that’s just how I am/it is right now.

Today however, even though it’s extremely late and I’m ready to pass out, I wanna get a few things down.

The day was ROUGH!!!  The air was out at school and we stayed open.  Thank goodness it didn’t happen yesterday (felt like temp round 100*).  The ED was a bit rude/snappy (I’m sure she was frustrated) when she overheard me ask the PC if she’d heard anything yet while walking in the hallway.  ED informed me that the building hadn’t reached the ‘can’t work/be in the building’ temperature so not to worry about it (doesn’t sound as rude in type).  To help w the warmth I made sure all the girls had their hair pulled up and our kids shoes were off.  We got a ‘fan’, kept the lights off, and played/worked on the iPad all morning and most of the afternoon.  We did get in the hallway and play a relay like game the kids enjoyed in the a.m. and gym time w lights off in p.m..

After work I attended YumEast.  I won’t go into all that much detail tonight (hopefully I’ll go back and post more w more opinions), but my two favs were Edleys and SillyGoose.  The first had an awesome BBQ sandwich w slaw, pickles, peaches, and a sweet and tangy sauce – I’m not usually a fan of all that on there, more traditional w meat and sauce, but WOWZA!!!!  Now I really really really wanna go there.  The second place had this yummy red quinoa ‘salad’ – quinoa mixed w rainier cherries, Georgia peaches, nuts, avocado?, and a creamy goat cheese to keep it together.  I only got a small serving since I went solo and wanted to go back, but dude was gone :”(.

Alright, that’s all I’m gonna give ya for today.  My high was the new food festival!

Have you ever had to work (not at home, but at work) w no air?  How did you adjust?

a full day

Today is one of the few day's I've been waiting on, looking forwards to, having so much expectation of being awesome, and I'm glad to say it wasn't that disappointing.  Do you know what kind of day I'm talking about?  You know the kind where you've got everything  (almost) planned down to nearly the last minute?  (not including you're wedding day or honeymoon or birthday but just a normal day).

I got up w the alarm at 8, after about six or so hours of sleep and hit the ground running for the most part.  Showered, pampered myself, picked out jewelry, played/read blogs, cut cheese (ha that sounds funny; I mean literally sliced cheese to pair with crackers), and was almost out the door when my old CCT2 asked for a ride to the tasting.  Being such a nice person and all I was okay with it.  However it made us ten minutes late, in the grand scheme not a big deal, but I was worried we wouldn't get in and have to wait forever.  Are you curious what we did?  We (some girls from work: PC, Mesmeric Chip, LC, CCT3, and CCT2 and myself) went out to Arrington Vineyards to have a bonding lunch.  It was lovely.  The tasting was free, but only a flight of four.  I wish I would have known going b/c then we could have worked out who was okay w sharing and who wasn't, but it went smoothly anyways.  I ended up liking the basic white, a rosé, and their port.  I purchased the white to share b/c CCT3 bought the rosé.  I was going to buy one and bring home, when I decided I could get it basically anytime since it's local and I can probably purchase it in a store.

It was really intriguing to see everybody's preferences: PC liked the dessert black berry, CCT3 was a fan of rosé, LC liked the merlot (which is normally my fav variatal, but I did not like theirs at all), CCT2 liked the port (which was awesome b/c last time she came w her friends she didn't like any of them), and Mesmeric (who doesn't like wine for the most part) enjoyed the basic white and the rosé.  Lunch was nice too; I ate way too much and don't even want to see the numbers on the scale.

Afterwards I picked up Sasha, which CCT2 was HI-frekin-LARIOUS!!!  She's a bit nervous around big dogs.  It was hard to tell her that the more nervous she was the more it affects the dog and they can react based on that.  I dropped her off and headed to the park (dude I'm having a HUGEAMONGUS de já vu (SP?) moment here - I'm sure I've typed that sentence b/4) where she played w Brady the Whippet for forty or so minutes and headed to the house.  I was H O T!!! I relaxed for an hour w a cool cloth and went to my new book club meeting.

We had it at Pizza Real and I wasn't that impressed.  Their menu is very limited albeit tasty (the Tuscan had a fabulous garlic kale cheesy goodness).  The meeting was interesting too.  There were three new members, myself included.  I'd love to continue to be a part of it, but don't know if I'll really care for the book for next month.  The company was interesting though.

Back at the IL's hubs was there and wanted sushi so I picked him up some at Kroger and noticed they had little soufflé cups of yum yum sauce.  I was so tempted to pick up some, but decided I wanted to keep trying to make it myself.  I passed out from my headache (that had been hanging around dully since three or so) and then woke up to watch a show and movie.

Now it's extremely late for me so I'm going to try and turn in.  My high was girl time at Arrington.

Are you or have you ever been in a book club???

TGIF and kudos to blendtec

HAPPPY FRIDAY FOLKS!!!!

Today was water play at school and would you believe that I ran off an left my swim wear at the house?!?!?  I had Aaron dig it out and everything.  I had it packed and in the bag ready to go next to my purse and realized as I was getting on the interstate that it was still on the bed.  Most of the teachers came in wearing their gear, but the bottoms are just so uncomfortable to wear, that whole stick to ya not cotton material like panties.  I had planned on changing when we got our 10:00 potty break, but told the kids not to spray me.  Most of them listened.  I had to remind our oldest kid and stay out of the way of one of the younger ones (he was just testing the distance it squirted).

My CCT3 was stressed that it was going to be a challenge (she hates water days b/c of this fact), but we worked out a system to make it easier: send out a few kids at a time to start and slowly trickle them out and bring them back to class in the same order (that way only two or three are redressing at a time rather than 14/15 at once.

The rest of the day was pretty busy too.  The ED son and the little girl who dances (can't remember the handle I've given her) would not listen when it was time to go to the gym so I sent them to the two's class.  I'm pretty sure it made the ED really upset; but I'd tried everything else I possibly could and he just would not listen.  The rest of the class had already missed some of their play time b/c of them and I didn't think it was fair for them to miss anymore.  I'm wondering if I get a 'lecture' about it next week.

I haven't been recording my foods this week, no real reason other than it's just been late at night and I've been ready to turn in, but today I'll tell you (at least some of it).  I made a sundried tomato and basil hummus using the protec and it was AWESOME!!!!!  It wasn't the consistency I wanted; probably b/c I only wanted a single serving rather than using the entire can.
Adapted from EveryDayMaven
Ingredients
1/2 can beans, drained, cleaned, and deskinned
1/2 t garlic powder
1 T tahini
water (just to make the machine run)
2 T lemon juice
sprinkle to taste of salt, chili powder, a random spice blend in
        the cabinet,
7 g s.d tomatoes (not the oil ones) and 7 leaves of fresh basil
        + 1/2 t d. basil
To make
I threw it all into the blendtec and processed until I was
        satisfied.
*changes next time: heat the beans and water like Maven did and maybe use the oil packed s. d. tomatoes*
**I don't know the WW points for this.  I weighed the serving and ate half**

I ate it w lots of fresh veggies and it was sooooo good!!!  Aaron actually liked it to and it got more herby and smoky over night.

Aaron had the day off today so he was uber sweet and made us dinner: spinach mushroom feta stuffed chicken breast (his had bacon inside and out), mashed cauliflower for me, and steamed broccoli.  Thanks hun!  I only half the chicken breast and almost all the cauliflower (he made almost two cups).

Allrighty off to bed.  My high today was the awesome dinner w hubs.

Do you ever make hummus and tweak?  Any tips on the silly skin on those beans?

elephant toothpaste

Staying at the IL's is kinda bad for me!!!  Did I tell you that's what I'm doing this week?  My IL's and Aunt are out of town so we are staying at their place house and dog sitting.  It's bad for me for two reasons: 1) I have access to silly addictive TV and 2) unlimited access to internet.  The only way it could bed worse is if I could use the internet while watching TV, but I have to make a choice.  I've been watching silly 'real' TV shows and staying up till around midnight or so.  (I'm currently typing this on Friday morning).  Aaron and I are supposed to be taking turns, but so far I've stayed every night on my own.  Not bad I get the bed to myself and don't have to let the pup out in the middle of the night.

Today was my day again to teach science.  It wasn't as awesome as I wanted it to be.  We did this.  We used regular peroxide and it didn't foam up as much as I was hoping, but was still neat.

All right, well I've got to take care of the animals and what not so have a great day!

circus fun

I was a bit sluggish today, but Sasha made it through the night safely.  I hated leaving her this morning not knowing for sure what time Hailey would pick her up.

We are officially into our summer program at school and the first two weeks is all about Circus.  I'm doing all the science projects and today's was really neat.  We talked about what makes wind and how hot and cold affect one another.  In bottle w room temp air we placed  balloon over the top and used a blowdryer to heat the air which in turn made the balloon expand.  The second half of the experiment we placed a second empty bottle into a bowl of hot water and waited a bit so the air within would be warm and then placed the cap on it and rubbed it with a bag of ice which made the bottle suck in.  The kids really enjoyed it and some actually understood.

I'm currently over at the IL's and have watching the tube all night so I'm ready for bed, just wanted to share the awesome science experiment.

Have you done any fun kid friendly experiments?

an emergency trip to the vet

Well I’m sure you’d LUVVV to hear how if I could start this day over and try again…

Hubs and my alarm went off at the same time, but of course he dismissed his and fell back asleep.  Yes he was still sleeping when I got out of the shower.  Which means he didn’t play w the pup very much nor have time to really say ‘bye’, just a quick peck and running out of the door.

Since we got home later and had so much crap to do (hence the reason there’s no entry from yesterday) I had to make lunch b/4 leaving out.  With that knowledge I still had a few minutes b/4 clocking in to gather myself.

Here’s the best part of my day: I fell!  Not just a normal fall down forward catch yourself trip, but a I was picking up a kid and another kid sat down behind me and I didn’t know it and fell backwards while holding the child and was not able to catch myself.  So I banged my knee, butt, elbow, and head.  I didn’t know it at the time and I’m pretty sure I may have pulled a muscle in my neck (it hurts to turn right and up as well as just sitting up now).

So after falling in front of everyone (yep grown ups and kids alike) the day was ridiculously busy!  Today was the first day of our ‘summer program’ and we get to go outside from 8:00 to 8:30 and there were 18 kids b/4 8:30!  In case you’re wondering that number almost maxes us out ratio wise (one teacher to nine kids).

From there it was almost non stop till I left.  We’ve also lost our summer schedule so were’ not a hundred percent sure of what comes when.  Additionally I got paperwork time today (YAY), but didn’t have the accessibility to gather the supplies I need for tomorrow (the PC has them and was out today) so instead I worked on our new assessment program.

At 4:00 it wasn’t too terrible, just busy and our newest peer (who started today – and I’m sure will be given a moniker) wanted to play on the computer… so I had to create him an avatar/account.  I got out about three minutes late, but that didn’t put me home too much later than normal.

However when I got home I had me another wonderful treat.  Sasha had pooped nine or ten times, thrown up once (real good) and had a couple of bile like spots.  Additionally I discovered that she got a hold of a CD and the case and did god knows what to it.  I found a couple of large pieces of the case and several shard like pieces by her cushion.  The case had a CD in it, but the paper that was on the ground was to a different one which I did not find.   With that discovery I called the vet.  The one we usually attend tried to refer me to an emergency place in Cools Springs (and with it being rush hour would have taken me at least an hour to an hour and a half to get there) but I inquired about having an x-ray done just to see if she had any obstructions.  The lady told me yes but I’d be charged an ER fee, which I totally didn’t mind paying.  She also said that blood work wouldn’t be back till tomorrow, which wasn’t too terribly important to me; I just wanted to know that she did not have anything in her body that could be harmful or lethal.  So the lady told me to go ahead and come in.  Well when I got there the doc informed me that x-rays don’t view those materials and I’d have to go to the ER for an ultrasound if I wanted to know for sure.  After twenty or so minutes I decided to ‘gamble’ and ‘wait it out’.  We came home, knowledge in hand of what to look for, and tips on just in case she’s got stuff in there.  Did you know that you can give them bread (theoretically/wife tales not scientific or anything), semi large amounts, and it’ll pack around the object in order to help it pass?  So now I’m outside watching and waiting for a BM.  Some signs are belly discomfort, restlessness, downward dog, and blood in vomit and/or bowels.  Also some drooling, not eating, and something else (it’s on the paper inside the house).  Lots to watch for all on my own – yep that’s right the hubs is out of town yet again so I’m a single parent.  Oh and we don’t get to go to the park for a few days or so!!!!  Bet I’m going to have a horrible god awful no count terrible miserable tossing turning up every hour kind of night!

K, after we got back from the vet I had to finish cleaning.  I thought about scrubbing the spots of ‘dirt’ but there was just too much.  Instead I opted to mop!  I mean really mop, like with a bucket of baking soda, water, and Dawn.  I thought I was doing an awesome job only to learn that the industrial b. soda leaves a really strange film on the floor (gonna tell hubs he gets to rinse tomorrow if he makes it home at a decent hour).  I also cleaned out my tub since I had the b. soda out and got the bleach down.  Here’s another shitty moment for ya: I got the bleach down off the top shelf in the dry storage/mud room and somehow unbalanced the deteregent.  Well the detergent fell of the shelf onto the deep freezer.  Not a big deal right?  WRONG!!!  The bottle was fine, minus the cracked top and a little mess, but it landed at just the right angle, right spot, and with enough force to dent the edge of the freezer!  So now the freezer does not close all the way on the right side.  To close it I placed the heavy ass tub of b. soda on it and noticed the left side popped up.  I just about broke down.  Rather than cry like I wanted I called Aaron and asked him to please help me use his brain (also at this point I was a little shaky from the unknowing of digesting plastic) to think of something else heavy in the house to weigh down the other side.  He suggested all the detergents and her dog food box as a back up (after I asked).  I decided to use the dog food bin first b/c I didn’t want to climb up and get down for bottles of detergent.  The box was not enough so I placed one container of detergent on top and it worked.  I really hope that he is able to fix the dent and the lid will close once he gets home.  Cross your fingers for me.

After doing all of that I made dinner and sat down to watch some Stargate Atlantis.  I didn’t get to really enjoy my dinner and show though b/c I’m too worried about the puppy.  As of a few minutes ago when we came inside I noticed a little drool on her jowl which was a sign of ER visit on the doctors sheet.  She’s eaten some, the last half of her food, a piece of bread, and a second one with pb.  I’m gonna be ill if we have to go in the middle of the night and can’t decide if we should go ahead and go or not.  I put my second glass of vino away in case I need to drive.  Guess I’ll talk to Aaron about it after I get done.

B/4 I leave:
Bfast – cantaloupe and cc, the good stuff
Snack – 3 vanilla wafers and grapes
Lunch – tomato cucumber salad w cheddar cheese (I forgot my LC)
Snack – veggie straws, two pieces of chocolate, and iced coffee
Dinner – revamped LO gyro plate.   When I got it the other day they left out the sauce :’(
            I heated it up
Made a salad of spinach and 7 super slaw w red onion and
            p. peppers
            Topped with ranch
            Tossed and served with vino.
IMO – way better than the first time around!!!!

Oh yeah I’ve also misplaced my original jump drive with the saved entries and had to use my back up.

K, Sasha is barking about something.  If I had to give a high it’s that the day is over.

What’s the worst your pet has swallowed/done?

maybe I'll be back in action

Well its been two months since I’ve done a journal entry; no real reason just busy (mini vacation & Aaron being gone regularly since so I’m almost like a single parent).

I won’t bore you with everything that’s happened, just pick up like I didn’t stop (unless I remember something I want to share).

Today was pretty basic.  I woke and paid bills.  We left the house around 12:30.  Today was the first day we took Sasha on an experiment of sorts: pet friendly restaurant.  She did well, guess it was easy considering we were the only people on the patio.  Aaron ordered the grouper tenders w ff and I had the ceviche.   The grouper was delish; nice an crisp and didn’t seem ‘deep fried’.  My ceviche was a bit over salt, and didn’t have extra cilantro like I asked.  The chips were gooood though.

At the park Sasha played w a new puppy, Milo: a four month old mutt.  The parents didn’t seem to be okay w Sasha playing with her and tried to take her away a couple of times.  Trey (a guy who’s puppy I wanted to be Sasha’s bff and I think is ‘my type from highschool’ kind of dude) was there and straightened his hair for a wedding (I don’t think I’ve ever known a guy to fix his hair other than put gel in it).

After park play we dropped her off w grandpa and ran some errands.  Hubs was down w me and my idea of sweet treats so we stopped at Sonic (he got a pb chocolate milkshake and I had a vanilla dish) and then stopped at Wal Mart, Goodwill, and ended at Aldi’s.  I found three shorts, two adorable pair of shoes, and a book that I really hope helps me (it’s all about hormone balance in women in relation to cycles).  I’m pretty excited to read it.

Speaking of reading I’m in the middle of reading two books the first is an actual book and I’m only torturing myself so I can attend my book club through meetup that I really want to be involved in.  The other book Hailey let me borrow her Kindle (which Sasha chewed up the charging cord) to read.  I don’t see why the latter has been/gotten so popular.  It’s not that sexual, at least so far (first five or so chapters), more sensual (the guy takes care of her and is soooo supportive).

At home it was pretty basic: dinner prep, put away groceries, and I tried a new recipe (& tweaked w another blogger out there that I just can not find!).  I’m waiting on it to cool now and then will add the store yogurt.  It took a bit longer to heat I think b/c I had it on low, next time it’ll be on high and I’ll make sure to close the silly lid!!!

While waiting for dinner I took care of my toes (I could have gone to a ‘spa day’ – 60 min massage, facial, mani, and green tea pedi), in order to save $ that I’ll spend on food events.

Now we are watching SGU and I’m waiting on my milk to cool to 110/115*.

SOOOOO to be responsible and all:
Bfast – banana
Lunch – ceviche, ½ order chips, some fries, and slaw
Snack – ice cream
Dinner – country style ribs, grilled mushrooms, & corn, 4oz vino, and a dessert drink

My high today is spending it w/ my hubs; it’s been a while w all the busy-ness we’ve had.

Have you ever done any of the ‘spa’ things?
