internalizing?

Today was a much better day than I though it was going to be.  During circle time yesterday the PC came in and said the Kitchen Lady was going to be working with me.  I wasn’t too thrilled with the idea.  Don’t get me wrong she does an awesome job with kids, I was just really worried about her playing with mine b/c she doesn’t know them or anything about the way the room is wrong.  I tried to hint at the PC to put her in the baby room instead, but she didn’t take it.  Now back to the easiness that the day ended up being: there were only four out of the five kids, which was a lot easier!  Not to mention I had the help of all the therapists.

A stressful moment, sort of, one of my kids moms brought in wonderful checklist to fill out and she needed it on Thursday when she dropped him off.  I was going to have to bring it home and complete it, but luckily enough the PC allowed my to stay out and work on my needs till 3:30, which was an hour (after the kids left and I cleaned up the room).

The last hour and fifteen minutes wasn’t too bad.  Few kids, one was sick which means he won’t be there tomorrow.  The most challenging is trying to get the wee ones to listen and follow rules since they haven’t had to in the previous room.

Mr. Unknown P. Name was able to come in at 5:00 today.  I’m hoping that he is able to do it regularly so I can have my previous schedule back.  Oh, I think I want to call him Mr. A or Mr. Argyle, or maybe just Argyle, so if someone reads this they won’t know who it is.  Argyle it is, let’s hope I remember this pseudonym.

I broke down and got gas on the way home.  I really hope that the price doesn’t go down in the morning like it has the last umpteen times!  Once again I didn’t want to prep foods, so I just put away dishes and relaxed to watch House.  I broke out of routine a bit and filed my nails instead of trying to wait till Friday.  I also skimmed our ads and mail items.

For anyone out there taking the time to read this, I truly appreciate it.  I know that sometimes, make that real often, I don’t have anything worthy of documenting for the world to read.  I quarreled with myself internally about whether or not I should do today’s, but I really truly would like to get back into getting my memories and thoughts down.  Typically through out the day I have tons of random tidbits I think would be interesting and worthwhile to give my two cents, but by the time I get home and able to do I have either forgotten or really don’t feel like doing it.  While driving home I fantasized about all the things I’d like to do: create the other blog I want, read more, eat out more, have a clean home, play and experiment in the kitchen more, enjoy being w my husband and family more, that’s just to name a few.  I have a friend who has picked up a new hobby of sorts, and never really has time to do anything or funds to do things w me anymore.  She does still have time for other people and other things and it makes me think I should do things more for myself too; that way I wouldn’t feel too bummed about how disappointing my ‘fun life’ is.  Another friend has just recently started a food blog, with a few twists, that I started following today which was my second reason for wanting to journal today.  AND I heard on the radio as I pulled into our road that Paris Hilton gave some stranger, whose a fan and has MS, a rather large many zero’s attached check just to help him w his medical bills.  If I had my other blog this would be one of those things to include and have a nice long paragraph/entry all on its own!

Guess I’m done whining, here’s more poor choices:
Bfast – cantaloupe w cc
Lunch – a new salad
*romaine topped w beets, orange, bell pepper, red onion, and pine nuts – it was okay.  I brought LC cheese, but didn’t eat it due to all the extra carbs and sugar from the cake.  I bet that would make it better.*
Snacks – cake and more icing
Dinner – a fruit and cheese platter

I’m glad that another friends dipped her toe in the online blogging world!
I appreciate you allowing me a bit of true honesty today…

beginning of a new change

Well I scanned back through the few entries I’ve done in the last month and don’t guess I mentioned the excitement that was in the works for me today.  It was my first day of working 8:15 til 5:15, even though the DR called me yesterday and asked me to close.  I really thought I mentioned this but I couldn’t find it.  Not only was it the first day of a new time schedule, but I also started in the Giraffes room with my new CT.

The day was easy and went pretty smoothly.  We took turns and had the children rotate activities and had what I think is a lot of circle times and way too many diaper changes.  I made the suggestion to set times to change and she seemed okay with the idea even though she said a semi snide remark along the lines of me ‘needing a diaper changing schedule’.  It just kind of felt like we spent the whole day reading or changing and it shouldn’t be that way.

I had to break the infant room for an hour and then take my lunch, which kind of pushed me on the kids daily notes.

At four I headed over to the toddlers room to close; the AT had a doctor’s appointment.  It was strange b/c one of the 4 kids was in the baby room on Friday and another one was brand new.  There were left over cheese cubes in the staff lounge and I gave em’ to the kids for their late snack.

After all the kids were gone I was able to check my email and blogs b/4 heading home since the admin assist. was teaching swim class and I got a handful of salad recipes I’ll probably try out in the next days to come.

Upon arrival home I put away my stuff and did the dishes.  I didn’t feel like prepping bfast and lunch so I just went straight to watching tv.

If you’re interested in my meals, you’re going to be a bit disappointed:
Bfast – banana and blueberries w white chocolate raspberry yogurt (an amazing flavor combo)
Lunch – a twisted greek salad
Snacks – lots and lots of cake and a cupcake with extra icing
Dinner – pickles, cherries, grapes, and turkey

Hopefully tomorrow will be better and I’ll make smarter choices.

I enjoyed playing w/ the four toddlers the most today.

I’m glad you are still following along…

my shitty changes

Well it’s kind of early for me to be writing ya, I usually do it around nine or so, it’s not even seven yet!

Overall my day was decent and easy enough.  I had to go to the baby room so the LT could take her daughter to her special camp again and wasn’t able to get to my room till almost a quarter after.  Luckily enough our Mr. was there and only one kid.  Also the SLP was there to play with the kid.  Once I got there though they trickled in one after the other.  The first fifteen minutes or so I spent chatting with the parents intermixed w helping the kids take turns playing w the I-Pad.  Four of the five attended today.  There wasn’t anything extremely special that stands out.  Each kid did something fabulous: Phish consistently signed ‘help’ as well as spontaneously reqested a turn to pick the song during circle time when he saw it was his fav prop., River said a really good bubbles three times, Tighty P fed herself and said ‘out’ really well, and Mr. T sang along during circle time (not really singing since he doesn’t talk, but totally babbling/humming ‘under his voice’).

I was able to the DN’s done and entered b/4 my lunch break.  After nap all the kids participated really well in our art project.

I went back to the baby room and the DR called me in for a meeting at 3:30.  Don’t think I mentioned on Friday that last Tuesday an SC mentioned a change happening in our center that I hadn’t heard about and I was sure would affect me (also how ticked I was that I hadn’t been told/included so when I was asked I about the change I wouldn’t look like a deer in headlights), but the DR FINALLY told me about the changes happening.  I’m not too particularly happy about it, but I have to tell myself, keep your glass full and it will only be for two, maybe three months.  So the biggest change, at least IMO is my schedule is changing, only by 15 mins, but still aggravating.  I’m going to start working 8:45 to 5:15.  I told the DR she may as well have me work 9-5 b/c I’m still going to get home at the same time (6) anyways.  The other really BIG change is instead of being in my own room waiting on my CT to get back from maternity leave on M/W/F and in the full time center T/R a.m.’s, I’m now going to be in the full time center, in a classroom, all day, every day!  So basically I’m going back to what I used to do, but making more money w a different title.  I’m not sure what responsibilities will change, but we’ll see.  This is just another reason for me to keep a calendar marking off the days till she comes back.  I will admit I’m pretty excited about the two hours of down time a day!

On the way home I talked w the hubs; he wasn’t able to make it to the store t get me strawberries, so no succulent red fruit for me this week.  I of course prepped lunch and bfast for tomorrow then did the dishes and sat down to eat dinner.  While eating I finished the book I’ve been reading for the second time (I realized last night, 75 pages till the end).

Now I’ve got to admit how horrible my choices were today understand why I felt kind of icky.

Bfast – savory protein muffins w tropical fruit blend

Lunch – mango curry chicken salad w smoked chicken

Snacks – cherries, about seven one inch funfetti cookies, 3 two inch brownies, and a four inch slice of cake.  (spread out through the day, not all at once mind you)

Dinner – left over veggie filled slaw w cheese (wasn’t too hungry, and it was filling enough)

Now I’m going to work on painting my nails and hope the hubs doesn’t get pissed bout the light being on.  Or maybe not I feel kind of like ass, damn tooth!

Best part about today?  Lame enough the food prep for tomorrow was easy and went quickly.

I hope you had a better day than me…

Monday, July 16, 2012

It’s the beginning of week two that my CT is out and today was smooth enough.  It started out nicely, and then turned a bit upsetting for a couple of hours.  The AT, soon to be LT, in the baby room was required to rehang all the decorations that fell over the weekend.  It took her twenty minutes shy of two hours.  When she finally returned back into her room so I could get out I waked over to the library and picked up my books and found a couple more to just leave on the shelf in hopes the kids ill look at em’.

The DR asked me to go into the toddler room an hour earlier than usual, but I had to request the floater go in instead b/c I only had an hour and a half last week to do anything for myself and I was in the middle of getting my supplies ready for tomorrow.  She permitted it and I finished creating the three space puzzles I was working on.

When I finished I headed back to the baby room for the LT to go get her daughter from camp.  The AT left out to go have yet another meeting with the LT whose place she is taking.  This is probably the fourth time they’ve pow-wowed over got knows what still.

At four I got to play w the Toddlers and we had fun dressing up in pirate costumes.

I was able to leave work a few minutes early, not enough to make the time change on my paycheck just five minutes or so, in order to make it to the library before they closed at five thirty.  Well I made it there w five minutes to spare and picked up my two books.  BTW I forgot to mention that even though I went Green Hills library today and got the books on hold, they somehow managed to pull the rest of my books afterwards and now I have to go back on Wednesday!  Next I headed to Aldi’s to pick up the fruit on sale only to discover they were all out of strawberries.  They get a shipment tomorrow and I’m hopin hubby will go by there and get some for me.

Back at the house he and I worked together as a team and he helped me prep lunch and bfast for tomorrow and then we sat down for dinner together, keep waiting….  While eating we watched this amazingly hilarious movie (This Means War) and I highly suggest it to anyone wanted a good laugh.  Aaron laughed so hard he had tears in his eyes and was gasping for air.

Are you ready for all my good choices today?

Bfast – savory muffins w and apple

Lunch – some delicious succotash which I will make again and again!

Snacks – kiwi, pear, grapes, and cherries

Dinner – bbq’d pork tenderloin (bbq sauce mixed w horseradish = good spicy sauce), slaw, and sliced tomatoes

Allrighty, time to finish the movie and hope the pain in my tooth will leave soon!

Best part bout today: slaw that I was really craving.

Thanks for reading all the way down…

super long playing catch-up

Well it’s been a little over a week since I’ve journaled, so of course I’m not going to try and remember all my eats, but I’d like to tell you about the highlights of each day.

Fri. 7/6/12 – While I was at work hubby texted me to see how I’d feel about going out to eat with his bosses (sp/lang?) and coworker.  HOW EXCITING!!!!  We went to Watanabe, a Japanese joint in East I’ve been wanting to try (not my suggestion btw).  It was just ok.  The drink of the day was a weak sangria.  Aaron and I shared a sashimi plate.  I think I made him a bit mad or maybe it’s b/c he’d had a few and was sensitive.  I was sitting to his left and he kept putting his left arm up on his knee which made it really hard for me to use my right hand to get food (we were in a three seater bench booth).  I’m kind of glad it was on their dime so to speak and will probably just keep going to Batter’d and Fried (since it’s the same owner w mostly the same things on the menus).  I felt like his lady boss kept staring at me, but he said that’s just her personality.  I didn’t think the husband and wife really matched, but it was only a couple of hours so what can I say?!?

Sat. 7/7/12 – Lindsay and I FINALLY got to attend our cheese making class and it was AH-MAY-ZHINGGG!  We watched/learned how to make feta, chevre, mozzarella, and ricotta.  As well as enjoying learning about cheese we ate some wonderful ones.  I don’t have the paper on me right now, but there were about ten different ones and I don’t really have a fav., but enjoyed three a bunch: manchego w quince paste, tuscano shiraz soaked, and the real deal roquefort served w fruit and nut bread, figs, candied pecans, and pears.  OMG I could soooo go for a slice right night.  Lindsay got to go home w a little male goat and it was one of the saddest things I’ve seen.  He cried for his ‘ma’ and ma followed us to Linds car.  The owner said she’d cry for a few days when I asked if ma really knew what was happening.  I also learned that I’ve been teaching children the wrong sound for goats; it’s more ‘maaayy’ instead of ‘maaa’ (like a sheep which is what I’ve been teaching).

Sun. 7/8/12 – Aaron I didn’t do too much.  We went to his parents so I could figure out what to make for bfast.  I was a bit bogged down w my parfaits, as well as my lunches; so I needed some new ideas.  Aaron decided to finally smoke some meats: chicken, pork loin, and two deer shoulders.  Since we had an abundant amount of meat I used them to make my savory muffin bites and have been enjoying them all week.  I made 24 mini muffins half w smoked chicken and bell peppers and the other w smoked deer and onions.  Next time I make them I’m going to try and do it w less bread and maybe more egg.  They taste really yummy, but I wish it was more meaty and less bread puffy.  Note to all DO NOT leave meat on smoker unattended for a couple of hours on high/lots of smoke.  Our birds were a little charred!

Mon. 7/9/12 – There isn’t all that much to say about this day.  It was the first day w/out my CT but didn’t really feel all that different.  I was able to attend to tasks better w/out her there talking to me.  I was so excited to find out about her baby girl.    I did a bunch of running around the building for the DR.

Tue. 7/10/12 – I attended a training today; Developmental Training.  It wasn’t too educating.  We already use the basis of the technique: teach the parent to teach the child so they can do it when we aren’t around to help.  The main difference was to have the parent do it instead of teacher doing it and demonstrating.  Which makes oodles of sense considering I’m a hands on learner!  We finally had book club!  The only downer is Linds and I were the only ones to read it.  Which is pitiful considering it was a book that people had like three months to read!  We should have discussed it in June, but life happens.  Since we were supposed to only eat this month next month is an actual book discussion, but I doubt anyone will actually read it since it’s only a month worth of time.  While we were there I ran into Phish’s mom and her support group which was really amazing.  All the moms couldn’t believe that the company I work for has been around for so long and that their kids SC didn’t suggest it.  They were hoping the company was relatively new.  After talking to them for a bit I found my way outside to talk w the girls again.  The conversation had turned really deep and somewhat a bit awkward.  Two of the girls are way more religious than I would have ever guessed and seemed to be very ‘God-is-your-friend-you-should-have-faith-in-him-he-will-get-you-through-this-and-has-a-reason-for-it-all’ kind of thought.  Linds is much stronger and way nicer than I am.  I should first say that they mentioned more than once about trying to have a third kid, that’s right a THIRD KID, and being pregnant together this fall; which means either they are trying or will start soon.  The newer girl questioned Linds reasoning for wanting a child so badly and made it seem okay not to have kids, that one’s life doesn’t need to revolve around being a mom.  I guess since I’ve known her so long and work w children I totally understand how she feels and had to bite my tongue hard at that point.  UGH it gets my blood boiling to just get it out!  Way to go Lindsay for being so strong and keep your head up and stay you!

Wed. 7/11/12 – There isn’t too much I want to remember about this day.  The DR was out so the PC (program coordinator) basically ran the show.  Not too sure I was happy w what went down: my typical day of working on my needs turned into being a paperwork bitch for everyone else and I got an hour and half for myself.  Oh yeah the AT in the baby room got promoted and will be the new LT in the toddlers starting Aug. 23rd.  I’m hoping she doesn’t let it get to her head and become more arrogant than she already is.  The LT in the toddler room right now has had SOOOOO much paperwork time and I can’t really understand why.  She’s leaving!  She should have her summaries done and has been in the role for a while so should have LP’s done and just need to tweak them.  WHAT IN THE HELL HAS SHE BEEN DOING?!?!?!?!?!  Also she and the new LT got to pow wow about god knows what.  I never got the opportunity, nor has any other teacher in the past.  Is this a new thing?  Is there something so inspiring that needs to be talked about for two hours? I know things change, but seriously?  Too much!

Thur. 7/12/12 – This was a bad eats day for me – 3 cookies and a cupcake!  Also the class was low; two kids!  My little man, Phish, signed help a couple of times unassisted andappropriately.  Mom got to see him do it!  It was the first time!  Too wonderful.  Also she and I talked about his future going forward.  My CT told her that she didn’t think he needed to come to school here through our Metro contract, the class was too large and he wouldn’t get what he needed.  So mom wanted to talk to me about it.  We chatted and I don’t know if I made her feel better, but I hope I was helpful.  The PC was playing crazy shit w the schedule again.  Instead of being able to do notes at my usual time she had me do them after nap and let the floater play in my room.  Then I had to be a paperwork bitch again!

Just remembered I got an amazing compliment, even though it wasn’t on purpose.  One of the parents commented how nice and clean the countertops were!  Inside I told myself ‘yep that’s b/c my CT isn’t here to leave her crap lying all around’.

Fri. 7/13/12 – I was once again a paperwork bitch today!  I had to be in the big kids class till 12:30.  The PC, who is also the LT of this room ran around till after nine before coming in the room.  She made the schedule again and had me doing lunch and paperwork for an hour total, which means 30 min paperwork for me.  I needed to have my laptop fixed, which took 15 mins., so I didn’t get any paperwork time.  Also when she did the schedule she had me till five and when I told her I left at 4:30 she questioned it.  She was really rude about it.  I had a bit of trouble biting my tongue again, but managed.  I’m really hoping she doesn’t say something to the DR and she change my schedule.  I’ll be really pissed!  I’m also really hoping that once the DR gets back from vacation she takes charge of day scheduling again and lets the PC take care of noon scheduling.  I’m going to be really disgruntled if I have to keep stepping in for people and not getting time for myself, esp. considering I don’t have a CT and I’m doing both our work.

Well the hubby just got up so we may actually start our day.  Hopefully I’ll get to journal this evening!  Peace

a change in method?

Ok, so I’ve decided to log about my day first, then all my food/eats.  I figured that way people can find what they want to read easier: interesting tales of the day at top and food eats at the bottom.  Not sure how long I’ll keep it this way, but I’m going to try it.

With that said I had an alright day that ended wonderfully!  We didn’t get home to insanely late, at least for me, it was midnight when we got to the house plus I still ad to get ready for bed.  I told Aaron next year we either aren’t going to go downtown or we are going to park closer to the exit and walk back in hopes that we can get out sooner.  We sat in the same damn spot for almost an hour.  I didn’t sleep soundly even though I got in bed late.  I forgot to mention that the bathroom close to our room is out of commission, not the whole bathroom, just the toilet.  I can still use the sink and shower which is a plus, but having to go to the other side of the house in the middle of the night sucks!!!!

We only had three kids today.  The new teacher, male who I haven’t come up w a name yet, stayed in the room the entire time!  My CT on the other hand was only in there long enough for circle time.  She busied herself sending faxes and filling out paperwork during the a.m.  After nap, which was a good one 2 of the 3 napped and the 3rd was pretty calm; CT had her 1 and ½ hour baby shower joint w a coworker’s wedding shower.  I wasn’t going to attend it, mainly so I could avoid the cake instead of have will power, but I was seen walking back and forth each time and felt a bit awkward so I went in for ten minutes.

At the very end of the day my little man w Autism, lets call him Phish maybe?; actually used a sign we’ve been working on for a while.  It was HUGE b/c he did it on his own!  I started to lean down and prompt him but he did it completely unassisted!  I was so excited that the toy he was requesting I tossed at him like a hot potato.

My CT came back into the room in time for the last kids to leave and we chatted about random nothings for a bit.  I’m pretty excited though, b/c she kind of eluded to the name of her baby girl.  She mentioned something about it being a name she didn’t think I’d like; they have had the name for a while and it’s just a coincidence that it might be the same name as one of our coworkers (the one who just sits and texts and has no motivation or direction of her own in our room).  When I asked if her name was          she just shrugged and said ‘IDK’, which wasn’t a denial but not an outright yes, but I think that I know her first name!!!!!  I’m so excited.  Now I’ve got to wait at least 3 months to meet her unless CT brings her in to visit before coming back.

Also I started trying to figure out how much vacation/sick time I have and will have so I can know whether or not I can take some days.  I just finished calculating it and I think I’ve been shorted a little over four hours of sick time.  Not usually a big deal, but that’s half a work day!  I need to talk to our financial lady tomorrow but I know I’m supposed to be in a training all day.

The poison ivy on my right thigh looks a lot better.  It’s not as bumpy w liquid and more flat and smooth.  I think it was swimming in the salt water, which if that’s the case I thought about washing it in salt water?  I have been applying bandages/bandaids w ointment regularly and by the time I get home it itches something awful!

Once I got home I did the same ol’ routine of prepping lunch and washing the dishes then made my dinner.  Now that I’ve brought up food guess for anyone other than me who’s interested I’ll take responsibility now:
Bfast – fruit and yogurt parfait: banana blueberries w cherry acai yogurt.  There wasn’t much acai flavor, more cherries.

Lunch – planned tuna.  I mixed it w the usual (celery and onions) and tossed in a bit of bell peppers and two cherry peppers.  Kind of plain.  I also had some cucumbers on the side.

Snacks – carrots, pineapple, orange (planned).  Two cookies and two bites of cake (Publix; had trouble resisting) and some punch (holy cow, I’m not usually a punch fan but this was good.  It was pinkish and I know had gingerale.  I think it had grapefruit concentrate and am sure there was some kind of sherbet but no clue which one).

Dinner – a kraut casserole: two turkey dogs mixed w two servings of kraut and half a serving of sweet peas topped with Dijon.  I know it doesn’t sound good, but it actually was.  Oh I also had like three chips and one bite of hubby’s crazy sandwich made with pizza crust.

Well that’s it I think.  I’m sure if I think about something I’ll try to remember and enter it tomorrow.

Would you like to know my high?  I really like that so I’m gonna keep doing it: my little Phish signing on his own!

Thanks for checking back in on me after my two month hiatus…

lots of changes

Wowza, I just realized that’s it’s been exactly two months since I’ve taken time to journal my thoughts.  As you can tell by the date it’s the fourth, which is a holiday, which means our school is actually closed.  So yes I’m off and relaxing at home at the moment while hubby sleeps in (he’s had several long days in the last two months so I’m okay with him resting) before going about our fun filled day.  I’ve spent the morning reading, eating a leisurely fruit plate w some fabulous coffee.  I read some of my Patterson book then the whole American Baby magazine Aaron got for some strange reason and tried to read more book, but couldn’t get my brain to really slow down so I thought I’d do this instead.

There’s been no real reason I haven’t journaled in two months.  May was kind of busy, going fishing and what not every available chance.  I guess it got kind of daunting in June or maybe my emotions were wacked out.  I haven’t got a clue at the moment, maybe later, as to why I’ve not recorded my feelings.  However the next few months are going to be a doosy so I told my self I wanted to start again in July in order to keep a healthy mental state; here’s to hoping!

Before telling you all about the coming months guess I should highlight a few things that have happened that are worth remembering since I’ve ‘talked to you last’.  So I sort of kind of found out what’s going on w my womanly issues:

(1)    I went to a GP and had blood work done.  All my levels in all the tested hormones and other health areas are normal.  After taking the results back to the OBGYN lady she said that there wasn’t anything to be concerned about.  She did do one more blood test to see if that was the culprit of me not menstruating and found out it wasn’t.  So basically I have all the right hormones, no tumors or other problems like I thought; I’m developing eggs, I’m just lacking the hormone to ‘release the egg’.  SO when I’m reading to be a parent I will have to take a fertility drug and actively attempt to conceive; which probably means I’ll join my closest friend in TTC world.  To be absolutely honest it kind of wigs me out a little.  To actually make a conscious choice to be a parent.  Guess I always thought it would just happen if I didn’t prevent or avoid.  Guess I was wrong.  I’m still curious as to whether or not there’s any way I can try to change something naturally to regulate myself and have considered changing doctor’s/getting a second opinion, going to acupuncture, and maybe even trying to do a more homeopathic change versus going straight to taking hormones, BUT I’m awful w change and am terrified of needles.

(2)    The next big change that’s happened is our classroom is going to be different, or technically already is.  In June we went from having four days of class to having two.  Our M/W class merged w our T/R class and now everyone comes on the same day.  In August it will change yet again; one group of kids on M/W/F and then I’ll go into the fulltime classroom, Giraffes, and be like an OR teacher with the two kids chosen by TEIS.

(3)    The last big change, which started this little paragraph forming, is my CT and her husband were finally chosen to be parents!  This has brought on so many different thoughts from me and I haven’t really expressed them to anyone, maybe a tidbit to Aaron, but nothing really in depth b/c I myself am unsure how I feel about it.  I’m happy/excited that she finally gets to experience what everyone calls a joy, but sometimes I think there’s a reason why she hasn’t been able to on her own (which makes me feel like a real ass considering my friends state and my own).  There are just times I think, due to her own way of life, she shouldn’t really be responsible for another persons well being.

So with the knowledge know of #3, that’s the biggest change going forward starting next week.  Tomorrow will be her last day for 3 months; yep that’s right she gets to have the normal maternity leave as though she carried and delivered.  Sometimes it makes me angry and other it makes so glad for her to have the time for bonding and growing and learning her new little one.  She and her husband are heading to TX on Friday afternoon and will officially be proud parents on Monday the 9th.  Since she is on leave I will be working with our newest employee at work, which btw is a male!  CRAZY!!!  Luckily enough I got to choose btwn him and the floater as to who will work with me in the room for the next three months.  He’s kind of young, but really took the initiative on his first day without being told/asked.  Also my little guy w Autism, who I can’t remember what I called him months ago for privacy sake, actually initiated a form of communication with him and requested he blow more bubbles.  It was awesome; instead of bringing them to me or taking me to the bubbles he took the bottle to the new teacher.  That was pretty much enough for me considering little man hasn’t even bothered to acknowledge the floater when she’s been in the room.  Not to mention how well he jumped in with helping during meal time as well as nap and offering to help clean at the end of the day.  So I’m pretty sure that you will be hearing tons about the new teacher, which I will have to give pseudonym for, as well as the changes and how it all goes.

Just so ya know I’m also hoping to get back on recording/taking responsibility of all the foods I eat.  I haven’t put on any weight or anything really else has changed, but recently I’ve read; many many many times; that one of the best ways to stay healthy/maintain fitness is to record in some way what you eat whether it be writing or taking a picture or some other way that helps you out.  So I’m kind of taking it as a sign and going to try to get back in the groove of things, except for maybe today since I typically snack all day long.

Speaking of weight and what not I forgot to tell you that I’ve turned 30 since last time I’ve left a message with you.  Leading up to the day I was kind of nervous, hearing about how things change and everyone makes such a big deal about it and all.  However on my bday I was out fishin w my dad and enjoyed days worth of fattening foods, such as my bday cake: carrot cake w pineapple cream cheese frosting!  The reason weight talk reminded me of this is b/c I’ve heard your metabolism slows down, not sure I ever had one really, once you turn 30.  Also I had a bday dinner with some ‘friends’ and they all enjoyed lecturing me on how they think I have a weight problem since I like to weigh myself daily.  One even threatened to come into our house and take my scale away.  I tried to explain to them that it’s not so much as to knowing the number as it is just to make sure it doesn’t get carried away again.  Then they said I shouldn’t worry about that and only worry about how clothes fit.  To which I tried to explain I don’t really like the way many clothes fit in general not to mention I’m not that aware of the changes my body goes through to notice whether things are getting to tight so I need to take notice of eating healthy again.  Oh btw the chick who threatened to take my scale had liposuction done back b/4 we went to Atlanta!  And one of the other girls, who is the size of my thigh no joking – who happens to have a personal trainer and exercises at least five xs a week – ordered a salad and soup for dinner and while at the Cheesecake Factory ordered a cappuccino!  Sometimes I really think I should be more brazen and just lay it out there, but occasionally my filer proves strong and I bite my tongue.

Well I guess the last thing I want to tell you about, hopefully I’ll remember to tell you more about it too, is that our wine charity event is set for 10/4/12.  I spoke w our MKTG lady and asked if I could help with anything and she said that the only thin she really needs is for donated silent auction items.  That’s what the last MKTG guy needed too.  However I don’t shop regularly or dine regularly anywhere to solicit for goods so I asked my hubby if he’d make an art piece and donate if I bought all the supplies.  He said yes.  After he said he would I looked on pinterest and found several ideas, as well as pow-wowed w my MIL and came up with a couple on our own to create.  I talked with our finance lady at work and she gave me approval to use our tax exempt form to purchase the supplies needed; so I’ll be able to create and it’ll be a bit more inexpensive.  I’m hoping that the projects turn out well and get bought.  I’m also hoping that I remember that I’ve mentioned it here and will keep you up to date on how it’s going with them.

So I guess that’s basically it for me.  It’s officially time for hubby to wake so we can go to the store and head over to his aunt and uncles house  Thanks for still being there for me after my two month hiatus and hope you don’t mind too terribly much that I’ve uploaded all the old ones along with this one.

Hope you have a great fourth and be safe!
